The standard interface for adding articles in EasyDNNnews module provides a wide range of options and possibilities. Yet, what to do when you want to simplify the interface for certain users or disable using certain functionalities? EasyDNNnews allows for the interface to be adjusted to DNN roles. Thus, it is possible for users in one role to have available all the possibilities that the interface for adding and editing articles provides, whereas users from another role can be denied certain options.
EasyDNNnews module enables users to accurately set up options over groups of articles by categories. These permissions can be set up in EasyDNNnews > Settings > 1 Permissions. However, permissions can also be set up for individual articles.
In practice, it is often necessary for one user to add articles in the name of another author, or an article author's name needs to be changed afterwards. Selecting or changing an article author can be performed in the interface for adding and editing articles. This option is located at Advanced settings / Article owner.
For the integration to be functional, both modules need to be installed on the same DNN portal. All the settings are available in EasyDNNrotator module.
For the integration of EasyDNNnews and EasyDNNgallery modules to be functional, all you need is to have both modules installed on the same DNN portal.
EasyDNNnews features cross portal sharing, which means that articles from a portal can be shared or displayed on other portals within the same DNN installation, without having to add the same articles again into EasyDNNnews. Articles can be edited only on the portal where they have been added into an EasyDNNnews module, and they can be displayed on an unlimited number of portals. Article details are opened on the current portal, that is, they do not lead to the portal they have been taken from.
EasyDNNnews provides advanced setting of permissions for visitors and authors. Permission management allows for a large number of permissions, so it is possible to strictly determine who may see certain articles, or who can publish and manage articles, and how.
EasyDNNnews comes with its own system of commenting articles. Additionally, Facebook comments and popular Disqus comments can also be used.
If you wish to use Facebook comments in EasyDNNnews module, they need to be selected in the EasyDNNnews module's settings (section 11. Comments).
