The standard interface for adding articles in EasyDNNnews module provides a wide range of options and possibilities. Yet, what to do when you want to simplify the interface for certain users or disable using certain functionalities? EasyDNNnews allows for the interface to be adjusted to DNN roles. Thus, it is possible for users in one role to have available all the possibilities that the interface for adding and editing articles provides, whereas users from another role can be denied certain options.
EasyDNNnews module enables users to accurately set up options over groups of articles by categories. These permissions can be set up in EasyDNNnews > Settings > 1 Permissions. However, permissions can also be set up for individual articles.
In practice, it is often necessary for one user to add articles in the name of another author, or an article author's name needs to be changed afterwards. Selecting or changing an article author can be performed in the interface for adding and editing articles. This option is located at Advanced settings / Article owner.
One of the frequent questions our users are sending us is related to how to use EasyDNNnews module on multiple pages with different content. The answer is affirmative, of course, as EasyDNNnews module can indeed be used on multiple pages, with entirely different content and different settings for each instance of the module. Thus on one page you can use this module as a blog, on another use it just to show a few news items, on the third page you can use it for documentation, etc.

For the integration to be functional, both modules need to be installed on the same DNN portal. All the settings are available in EasyDNNrotator module.

EasyDNNnews features cross portal sharing, which means that articles from a portal can be shared or displayed on other portals within the same DNN installation, without having to add the same articles again into EasyDNNnews. Articles can be edited only on the portal where they have been added into an EasyDNNnews module, and they can be displayed on an unlimited number of portals. Article details are opened on the current portal, that is, they do not lead to the portal they have been taken from.
EasyDNNnews provides advanced setting of permissions for visitors and authors. Permission management allows for a large number of permissions, so it is possible to strictly determine who may see certain articles, or who can publish and manage articles, and how.
EasyDNNnews comes with in-built document management enabling it add document into articles in a simple manner. The added documents are displayed at the bottom of the article in a separate window, and by using a token they can be added to the article's summary or content.
