EasyDNNnews - New gallery functionalities within articles

Integration: Gravity gallery in the EasyDNNnews 7.2

If you want to impress and engage readers of your blog posts by displaying galleries within articles, the new gallery functionalities will come extremely handy. Because, except of the modern display which is brought by the Gravity gallery, now it is possible to comment, share, like or rate each single item.

The new version of the 7.2 news module integrated with the EasyDNNgallery (minimum 6.6 version  is required) brings new gallery functionalities. The main novelty is the Gravity gallery that can be integrated within articles. The Gravity gallery is a modern responsive gallery with the infinite scroll pagination. This gallery can display images, play videos and it is possible to listen to audio (mp3) files.

The Gravity gallery can be displayed within articles and images can be opened in the SocialMediaBox Lite or the SocialMediaBox Full. If you are not familiar with the SocialMediaBox, let’s just say that it is our advanced version of a Lightbox-like image viewer. The SocialMediaBox Full is intended for desktop users and the SocialMediaBox Lite is intended for both desktop and mobile device users. Since the SMB Lite is optimized for mobile devices, it will be always served to the mobile device users.

But, except of the possibility of opening images within articles with a help of the SocialMediaBox, a gallery can be opened on a specific page where the gallery module is set. To prove this functionality with an example, open this article and click on the link „View in gallery“.

The Gravity gallery as a display in the EasyDNNgallery module offers great possibilities of configuration for your ideal display. Let's mention also that the Gravity gallery uses templates for display, so you have great possibilities of controlling the display. Also, it can be displayed anywhere within an article, depending on the positioning of tokens in the article details template.

The Chameleon gallery which has been supported until now, now also has the possibility of opening images in the SocialMediaBox and the SocialMediaBox Lite, and also on a specific page in the Gravity gallery.

As a very interesting functionality presented in the previous 7.1 version of the EasyDNNnews module, let's mention also the integration with the Wistia video service which will encode your uploaded video and make it maximum compatible with different mobile devices. More about the integration with Wistia video service can be learned in this article.

All these new functionalities are available when using the EasyDNNnews 7.2 and the EasyDNNgallery 6.6 or newer versions.
