Free upgrades

All our modules have a certain period of time after the purchase in which the new versions are free. The duration of this period depends on the license of the purchased product.

  • Standard license – free upgrades within 90 days of the purchase date
  • Professional license – free upgrades within 90 days of the purchase date
  • Enterprise license – free upgrades within 365 days of the purchase date
  • All products from the EDS Theme & Module Collection – free upgrades within 365 days of the purchase date

License renewal

After the free upgrade period, the existing licenses can be renewed with purchasing the renewal versions. The renewal versions are more affordable then the new licenses, and they include 365 days of free upgrades for all versions (standard, professional and enterprise). Limit: the renewal versions can be used if more than two years haven’t passed since the purchase of the original or a prior renewal license.

How to buy the renewal license

The renewal license can be purchased on the DNN store. Find the newest version of the module and add the renewal license to your cart. Notice: the renewal versions has to be the same as the original license. If you have the standard license then you should buy the renewal for the standard license etc.

Users who have the right to new module versions can find the new versions on the DNN store in Patches.

Installation of the new module versions

The new module versions are installed on top of the existing module versions from DNN menu Host > Extensions. After the installation of the new module versions your content in the modules and settings will be saved. The process of the upgrade is detailed tested and it is secure.

Still, we recommend caution and suggest that you make a backup of a site before installing the new module versions, especially if you are working on important sites. In case something goes wrong, don't panic. The best thing is to contact our support team which will know how to fix the problem.
