New policy of module upgrading

Enjoy a full year of free upgrades at an affordable price

With an aim to offer our users a constant approach to the latest versions of our modules, we have created a new model of module upgrading. Let's remember how it used to work. Buyers of standard and professional licenses were entitled to freely receive new versions of modules for 30 or 60 days after purchasing software respectively. Buyers of enterprise versions were entitled to receive free upgrades for 365 days after purchase. After the expiration of the period when buyers were entitled to receive free versions of modules, they were still entitled to purchase upgrades at affordable prices. To make this possible, we needed to create coupons at DNN store. Occasionally that was an awkward solution, as it required a reaction on our part.

What is new?

The first thing we have added is the period of time when buyers of standard and professional licenses are entitled to receive new versions of module for free. Instead of the customary 30 days for a standard license and 60 days for a professional version, we are now increasing this period to 90 days for both versions. Buyers of enterprise versions will continue to receive free upgrades for 365 days.

The real novelty, however, is the option to purchase upgrades at DNN store after the expiration of the period when you were qualified to obtain new versions. You will no longer need coupons to be entitled to price reduction. Now you can immediately choose the upgrade for your license, add it into the chart, then simply purchase it and upgrade your module. You can buy the upgrade at any moment within 2 years from the original purchase. If more than 2 years have passed since the original purchase, contact us at sales@easyDNNsolutions.com.

For every type of license there is an upgrade:

• Upgrade and subscription for a standard license
• Upgrade and subscription for a professional license
• Upgrade and subscription for an enterprise license

Important: buy an upgrade for the license you own. Upgrades for other versions of licenses will not be functional. If you buy upgrades for a standard and professional license, you are entitled to upgrade your existing installations, but not the new ones. And upgrade for an enterprise license still allows you to activate your module at the existing and new installations with no limits whatsoever.

An upgrade is not just an upgrade. By purchasing an upgrade, you don't only get the latest version of a module, you also receive a full year of free upgrades.

During the past few years, we have managed to develop high quality modules, embraced by the community. Many companies and individuals in the DNN ecosystem are using them on the daily basis. All the models are constantly being upgraded with new functionalities and options, while being kept compatible with new versions of DNN, new versions of browsers available at the market, as well as with a full range of new technologies and services integrated into the modules. This approach naturally demands a high cost of development.

On the other hand, users desire and need versions of modules with new functionalities compatible with new DNN versions, with new browsers, etc. This model provides the users with the freshest versions of modules at affordable prices. Moreover, the users get to choose when to buy an upgrade, followed by new versions for a full year.
